Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.42% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which rose 9.68% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.07 at the close. Candente Copper (LM:DNT) added 8.11% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.0800 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was up 7.50% or 0.01 points to 0.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 4.76% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.200 in late trade. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 1.58% or 3.25 points to end at 202.35 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 1.32% or 0.005 points to 0.374.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 10 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.24% or 1.07 to $46.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 17.55 to trade at $1315.45 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2336, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8731.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.17.
