Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.04% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 10.67% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.0830 at the close. Minsur (LM:MINi) added 4.67% or 0.070 points to end at 1.570 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 4.36% or 0.560 points to 13.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 18.66% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.170 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 0.80% or 0.050 points to end at 6.240 and Panoro (LM:PML) shed 0.79% or 0.002 points to 0.250.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.88% or 1.46 to $52.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $58.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.25% or 16.19 to trade at $1313.69 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2605, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8560.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 92.44.
