Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 4.76% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1980 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 2.55% or 0.3150 points to end at 12.6550 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was up 2.08% or 0.0185 points to 0.9070 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 0.74% or 0.0240 points to trade at 3.2300 in late trade. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) declined 0.54% or 0.060 points to end at 11.140 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 0.03% or 0.0010 points to 3.2890.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.34% or 0.26 to $77.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.37% or 0.25 to hit $67.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1201.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
