Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 2.01% or 0.460 points to trade at 23.330 at the close. Viscofan (MC:VIS) added 1.27% or 0.700 points to end at 56.000 and Merlin Properties SA (MC:MRL) was up 1.07% or 0.13 points to 12.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 2.45% or 0.290 points to trade at 11.550 in late trade. Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) declined 1.71% or 0.39 points to end at 22.47 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) shed 1.06% or 0.130 points to 12.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 85 and 17 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.59% or 7.80 to $1317.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.52% or 0.32 to hit $61.28 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.32 to trade at $65.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.2319, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 90.03.
