Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.19% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 3.57% or 2.70 points to trade at 78.38 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.58% or 4.00 points to end at 256.85 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.80% or 1.35 points to 170.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 5.43% or 28.2 points to trade at 491.0 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 0.76% or 1.8 points to end at 229.4 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.52% or 0.60 points to 114.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 329 to 320 and 42 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.86% or 1.26 to $69.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.91% or 1.43 to hit $76.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 20.80 to trade at $1214.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.46% to 10.5983, while USD/SEK fell 0.32% to 9.1130.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.01.
