Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.94% or 0.81 points to trade at 42.50 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 1.85% or 5.6 points to end at 307.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.75% or 8.6 points to 500.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 0.24% or 0.2 points to trade at 98.6 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.10% or 0.2 points to end at 204.5 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) gained 0.06% or 0.10 points to 159.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 368 to 241 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.23% or 0.85 to $68.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.64% or 0.47 to hit $72.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.50 to trade at $1226.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.3211, while USD/SEK rose 0.04% to 8.8978.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.81.
