Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.88% or 11.4 points to trade at 407.0 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 1.17% or 2.6 points to end at 225.3 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 0.58% or 0.85 points to 146.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.25% or 1.10 points to trade at 32.71 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 1.71% or 3.6 points to end at 210.0 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) shed 1.52% or 3.5 points to 226.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 409 to 214 and 57 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.83% or 1.53 to $52.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.85% or 1.79 to hit $60.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1282.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 10.2548, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 9.0263.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.958.
