Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Holdings & Investments and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 4.23% or 0.420 points to trade at 10.360 at the close. Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) added 3.09% or 0.51 points to end at 17.02 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was up 2.90% or 0.060 points to 2.130 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL), which lost 3.95% or 1.04 points to trade at 25.26 in late trade. Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) declined 3.27% or 0.120 points to end at 3.550 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) shed 2.48% or 1.30 points to 51.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 197 to 160 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.35% or 4.60 to $1313.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.41% or 0.86 to hit $62.05 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.70 to trade at $65.82 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 3.9228, while EUR/TRY rose 0.44% to 4.8193.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 90.25.
