Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA), which rose 13.25% or 0.550 points to trade at 4.700 at the close. Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 6.47% or 0.090 points to end at 1.480 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 5.29% or 0.240 points to 4.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 9.28% or 0.660 points to trade at 6.450 in late trade. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) declined 6.95% or 0.660 points to end at 8.830 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) shed 3.86% or 0.420 points to 10.470.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 207 to 142 and 62 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.17% or 2.20 to $1276.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.11% or 1.37 to hit $66.27 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.39% or 0.29 to trade at $75.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.04% to 4.7372, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 5.4931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.63.
