Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 19.73% or 0.290 points to trade at 1.760 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.23% or 0.090 points to end at 1.810 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.91% or 17.10 points to 365.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which lost 6.25% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.300 in late trade. Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) declined 2.94% or 3.60 points to end at 119.00 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) shed 2.67% or 0.020 points to 0.730.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 137 and 47 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1289.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.18 to trade at $60.30 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 5.4809, while EUR/TRY rose 0.52% to 6.2855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 95.172.
