Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO), which rose 4.22% or 0.330 points to trade at 8.150 at the close. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) added 3.65% or 6.90 points to end at 196.00 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 3.12% or 0.240 points to 7.930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 4.55% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.290 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.53% or 0.240 points to end at 6.550 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) shed 3.30% or 0.72 points to 21.08.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 137 and 43 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.30% or 3.80 to $1277.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.00% or 0.52 to hit $52.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.32% or 0.76 to trade at $58.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 3.7279, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 4.3885.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.78.
