Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which rose 4.12% or 1.290 points to trade at 32.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 2.92% or 5.510 points to end at 194.490 and Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA) was up 3.33% or 0.140 points to 4.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were America Movil L , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AMXL), which fell 2.48% or 0.320 points to trade at 12.590 at the close. Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) declined 2.08% or 1.830 points to end at 86.160 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was down 1.94% or 0.900 points to 45.450.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 67 to 54 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.70% or 8.40 to $1189.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 4.73% or 1.41 to hit $28.29 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 6.72% or 2.21 to trade at $30.67 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.76% to 18.8156, while EUR/MXN rose 1.65% to 21.2404.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.70% at 96.08.
