Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Materials, Healthcare and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.35% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which rose 3.90% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.930 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 3.33% or 0.500 points to end at 15.500 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 1.60% or 0.710 points to 45.170 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which lost 3.57% or 1.000 points to trade at 27.000 in late trade. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.23% or 0.540 points to end at 43.520 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) shed 1.07% or 0.450 points to 41.660.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 88 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.65 to $1352.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.02% or 1.29 to hit $41.48 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.47% or 1.11 to trade at $43.87 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.14% to 18.4102, while EUR/MXN rose 0.40% to 20.5784.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.52% at 95.56.
