Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 2.17% or 40.0 points to trade at 1885.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 1.53% or 260.0 points to end at 17260.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 1.24% or 220.0 points to 18000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which lost 1.55% or 960.0 points to trade at 61020.0 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) declined 0.87% or 35.0 points to end at 3975.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 0.86% or 220.0 points to 25320.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 2.00% or 2.50 to $122.33 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.07% or 60.50 to hit $2981.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1249.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.07% to 3053.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.20% to 854.68.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.26.
