Japan’s Tertiary Industry Index dropped 0.1 percent month-on-month in May, reversing a 1.4 percent rise in April, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.
The index evaluates monthly change in output produced by Japan’s service sector.
Though the month-on-month activity has dropped, on a yearly basis, the industry activity climbed 1.9 percent in May, faster than 0.8 percent increase in April.
