Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Sports and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 9.01% or 1.05 points to trade at 12.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Celebi (IS:CLEBI) added 7.94% or 2.70 points to end at 36.70 and Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) was up 6.67% or 1.45 points to 23.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) declined 2.94% or 0.030 points to end at 0.990 and Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER) was down 1.86% or 0.30 points to 15.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 283 to 117 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.17% or 0.010 to 0.230.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.84% or 9.20 to $1084.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.52% or 0.25 to hit $48.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.71 to trade at $54.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 2.7390, while EUR/TRY rose 0.03% to 3.0068.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.38.
