Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which rose 6.45% or 0.410 points to trade at 6.770 at the close. Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN) added 5.99% or 0.200 points to end at 3.540 and Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) was up 3.95% or 0.100 points to 2.630 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO), which lost 4.00% or 0.19 points to trade at 4.56 in late trade. Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) declined 3.05% or 0.270 points to end at 8.580 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) shed 2.67% or 5.80 points to 211.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 169 to 142 and 92 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.23% or 3.05 to $1343.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.05% or 1.50 to hit $47.61 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.09% or 1.57 to trade at $49.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.54% to 2.9446, while EUR/TRY rose 0.43% to 3.3326.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 94.55.
