Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Transport, Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.94% or 9.85 points to trade at 175.65 at the close. Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) added 3.38% or 119 points to end at 3635 and CTM (CS:CTM) was up 3.15% or 17.00 points to 557.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which lost 5.99% or 37 points to trade at 577 in late trade. Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) declined 5.96% or 134 points to end at 2116 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 4.53% or 0.86 points to 18.14.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.68% or 0.32 to $47.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.96% or 0.47 to hit $49.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.33% or 4.35 to trade at $1325.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.23% to 10.9470, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.6915.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.72.
