Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy, Banking and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 3.02% or 2.15 points to trade at 73.30 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.16% or 2.1 points to end at 182.8 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 0.76% or 0.40 points to 52.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which lost 4.06% or 8.30 points to trade at 196.20 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.90% or 0.51 points to end at 17.09 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) shed 2.73% or 1.55 points to 55.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 119 to 53 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.85% or 0.87 to $46.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.70% or 0.84 to hit $48.46 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.87 to trade at $1251.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.02% to 9.3559, while USD/NOK fell 0.26% to 8.0251.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 93.85.
