Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Software & Computer Services and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.24% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 5.09% or 30 points to trade at 619 at the close. Marsa Maroc SA (CS:MSA) added 4.41% or 4.01 points to end at 94.90 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 4.29% or 6.00 points to 146.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which lost 3.47% or 6.00 points to trade at 167.00 in late trade. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 2.85% or 23 points to end at 785 and Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) shed 1.96% or 47 points to 2353.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.14% or 0.07 to $50.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.54% or 0.28 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1266.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.7740, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.9115.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.70.
