Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 1.35% or 0.27 points to trade at 20.24 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 1.23% or 0.610 points to end at 50.240 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was up 0.68% or 0.240 points to 35.680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which lost 4.21% or 4.820 points to trade at 109.740 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) declined 3.17% or 1.150 points to end at 35.150 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) shed 2.22% or 5.210 points to 229.190.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 58 and 11 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.30% or 4.10 to $1351.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.95% or 0.89 to hit $46.63 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.80% or 0.87 to trade at $49.22 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.20% to 18.0442, while EUR/MXN rose 0.70% to 20.3572.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.75.
