Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 1.20% or 150 points to trade at 12650 at the close. Meanwhile, Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 0.48% or 290 points to end at 60850 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) was up 0.27% or 40 points to 14880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 4.48% or 11.0 points to trade at 234.5 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 4.28% or 54 points to end at 1207 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was down 3.24% or 2610 points to 77890.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 237 to 110 and 107 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.16% or 0.06 to $36.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.90% or 0.34 to hit $37.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.61% or 17.10 to trade at $1077.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.85% to 3.9257, while EUR/ILS fell 0.39% to 4.2412.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 99.13.
