Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 4.17% or 0.170 points to trade at 4.250 at the close. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) added 2.89% or 0.420 points to end at 14.960 and SM Prime Holdings Inc (PS:SMPH) was up 2.06% or 0.500 points to 24.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC), which lost 4.08% or 3.250 points to trade at 76.500 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 2.13% or 5.000 points to end at 230.000 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) shed 2.04% or 50.000 points to 2400.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 79 and 49 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.28% or 3.40 to $1218.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.27% or 0.13 to hit $49.14 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.14 to trade at $49.86 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.21% to 7.0723, while USD/PHP fell 0.15% to 46.532.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 95.17.
