Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 4.09% or 31.0 points to trade at 789.0 at the close. Meanwhile, First International Bank of Israel (TA:FTIN) added 1.99% or 98 points to end at 5027 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.55% or 220 points to 14370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 1.92% or 300 points to trade at 15290 at the close. Osem (TA:OSEM) declined 1.71% or 126 points to end at 7260 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 1.70% or 1900 points to 109900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 173 to 141 and 134 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.09% or 31.0 to 789.0. Shares in Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.70% or 1900 to 109900.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.84% or 1.28 to $46.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.97% or 0.94 to hit $48.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.20 to trade at $1130.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.87% to 3.9363, while EUR/ILS fell 0.10% to 4.4056.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 96.06.
