Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB), which rose 3.24% or 7.040 points to trade at 224.960 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.47% or 7.040 points to end at 290.300 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 1.59% or 1.26 points to 80.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 3.39% or 8.030 points to trade at 229.350 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 1.83% or 0.270 points to end at 14.490 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) was down 1.82% or 2.440 points to 131.610.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 84 to 73 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gruma, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GRUMAB) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.24% or 7.040 to 224.960. Shares in Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.39% or 8.030 to 229.350.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1117.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $42.94 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.01 to trade at $48.60 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.14% to 16.4072, while EUR/MXN fell 0.58% to 18.0995.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 96.99.
