Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 3.04% or 24.5 points to trade at 830.0 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) added 2.74% or 17.0 points to end at 638.0 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 2.43% or 33 points to 1390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 3.71% or 67 points to trade at 1740 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 3.21% or 130 points to end at 3920 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 3.12% or 2340 points to 72610.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 132 and 117 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.42% or 0.65 to $45.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.96% or 0.93 to hit $46.44 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.39% or 5.05 to trade at $1295.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.7517, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 4.3189.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 92.67.
