Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.24% or 0.085 points to trade at 6.945 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 0.88% or 0.100 points to end at 11.450 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.35% or 0.0250 points to 7.1750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.98% or 0.70 points to trade at 34.74 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.94% or 1.05 points to end at 53.20 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.37% or 0.24 points to 17.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 64 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.04% or 0.52 to $49.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.28 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.58 to trade at $1281.78 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1251, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8705.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.78.
