Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Media and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.33% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.17 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 2.46% or 0.8 points to end at 33.3 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 1.54% or 1.80 points to 118.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 16.88% or 7.1 points to trade at 35.1 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 4.45% or 1.16 points to end at 24.88 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 3.79% or 1.10 points to 27.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 59 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.16% or 1.52 to $38.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.20% or 1.27 to hit $40.92 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.50 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 9.3778, while USD/NOK fell 0.64% to 8.5084.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 97.01.
