Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 12.21% or 29.2 points to trade at 268.4 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 6.63% or 0.37 points to end at 5.95 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 6.34% or 0.12 points to 1.93 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 6.93% or 21.8 points to trade at 293.0 in late trade. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 3.64% or 2.30 points to end at 60.95 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 2.62% or 0.9 points to 33.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 81 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.87% or 1.28 to $45.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.36% or 1.53 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.87% or 11.05 to trade at $1275.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.3144, while USD/NOK fell 0.94% to 8.1400.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 93.68.
