At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index dropped 0.30%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap were mixed. The TSX Venture rose 0.27%, while the Smallcap was down by 0.20%.

- Wesdome Gold (TSX:WDO) Mines: Increased 3.75% or 0.51 points to 14.11.
- Innergex (TSX:INE) Renewable Energy: Rose 3.06% or 0.26 points to 8.77.
- Lundin Gold Inc (TSX:LUG): Declined 4.94% or 1.75 points to 33.71.
- Freehold Royalties (TSX:FRU): Dropped 4.03% or 0.55 points to 13.10.
- BCE Inc (NYSE:BCE): Fell 2.57% or 0.98 points to 37.15.
In Commodities Trading:
- February Brent Oil Contract climbed by 0.01% to 72.15 a barrel.
- Crude Oil for January delivery rose 0.05 points to 68.42 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for February delivery increased 28.31 points to 2,714.11 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD rose to 1.4181.
- EUR/CAD is trading at 1.4922.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 106.095.
