Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Life Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite added 0.75%, while the SZSE Component index gained 1.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Guodian Nanjing Automation Co Ltd (SS:600268), which rose 10.11% or 0.450 points to trade at 4.900 at the close. Neusoft Corp (SS:600718) added 10.04% or 1.310 points to end at 14.360 and Zhejiang XinAn Chemical Industrial Group Co Ltd (SS:600596) was up 10.03% or 1.630 points to 17.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Xian LONGi Silicon Materials Corp (SS:601012), which lost 9.99% or 2.010 points to trade at 18.110 in late trade. Tongwei Co Ltd (SS:600438) declined 9.97% or 0.940 points to end at 8.490 and Jien Nickel (SS:600432) shed 9.95% or 0.440 points to 3.980.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Zhejiang Crystal Optech Co Ltd (SZ:002273) which rose 10.02% to 15.81, Beijing Easpring Material Tech (SZ:300073) which was up 10.01% to settle at 29.78 and Beijing Thunisoft Co Ltd (SZ:300271) which gained 10.00% to close at 17.60.
The worst performers were China High-Speed Railway Technology (SZ:000008) which was down 10.05% to 5.01 in late trade, Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd (SZ:300274) which lost 10.03% to settle at 11.30 and Goldleaf Jewelry Co Ltd (SZ:000587) which was down 10.00% to 6.12 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1182 to 157 and 43 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 19.83.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.15% or 1.90 to $1295.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.73% or 0.47 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.33 to trade at $75.62 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.03% to 6.4071, while EUR/CNY fell 0.11% to 7.4893.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.06.
