Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Real Estate Investments & Services and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.91%, while the SZSE Component index climbed 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were YanTai Yuancheng Gold Co Ltd (SS:600766), which rose 10.08% or 0.490 points to trade at 5.350 at the close. Qingdao Copton Technology Co Ltd (SS:603798) added 10.01% or 1.070 points to end at 11.760 and Shanghai Hongda Mining Co Ltd (SS:600532) was up 10.00% or 0.480 points to 5.280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Routon Electronic Co Ltd (SS:600355), which lost 10.09% or 0.320 points to trade at 2.850 in late trade. Beijing Huaye Capital Holdings Co Ltd (SS:600240) declined 10.03% or 0.360 points to end at 3.230 and Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SS:600521) shed 10.03% or 1.440 points to 12.920.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Sichuan Danfu Compressor Co Ltd (SZ:002366) which rose 9.99% to 9.58, Anhui Anke BioTech Group (SZ:300009) which was up 9.97% to settle at 13.90 and Yinji Entertainment Media Co Ltd (SZ:002143) which gained 9.57% to close at 3.32.
The worst performers were Zhejiang Wanliyang Transmission Co Ltd (SZ:002434) which was down 10.02% to 7.90 in late trade, Changchun High & New Technology Industries Group Inc (SZ:000661) which lost 10.00% to settle at 182.49 and Chengzhi Shareholding Co Ltd (SZ:000990) which was down 10.00% to 11.52 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 887 to 525 and 50 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 30.02 a new 6-month high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.46% or 5.60 to $1222.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.14% or 0.81 to hit $71.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.99 to trade at $81.25 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.30% to 6.9105, while EUR/CNY rose 0.34% to 8.0152.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 94.66.
