Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments & Services, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.58%, while the SZSE Component index fell 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Dazhou Xingye Holding Co Ltd (SS:600603), which rose 10.10% or 0.410 points to trade at 4.470 at the close. China Grand Automotive Services Co Ltd (SS:600297) added 10.02% or 0.590 points to end at 6.480 and Jiangsu SOPO Chemical Co Ltd (SS:600746) was up 9.98% or 0.500 points to 5.510 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tianjin Tianhai Investment Co Ltd B (SS:900938), which lost 10.04% or 0.057 points to trade at 0.511 in late trade. Tianjin Tianhai Investment Co Ltd A (SS:600751) declined 10.02% or 0.650 points to end at 5.840 and A-Zenith Home Furnishings Co Ltd (SS:603389) shed 10.01% or 1.540 points to 13.850.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Chuying Agro-Pastoral Group Co Ltd (SZ:002477) which rose 9.90% to 2.11, Shenzhen Hepalink Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SZ:002399) which was up 8.11% to settle at 19.33 and Lianhe Chemical Technology Co Ltd (SZ:002250) which gained 7.19% to close at 8.05.
The worst performers were China Camc Engineering Co Ltd (SZ:002051) which was down 10.02% to 13.74 in late trade, Jiangsu Zhongnan Construction Group Co Ltd (SZ:000961) which lost 6.14% to settle at 6.27 and China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings (SZ:001979) which was down 5.89% to 18.71 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 923 to 460 and 74 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 22.83.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.90 to $1203.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.31% or 0.22 to hit $72.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.48% or 0.39 to trade at $80.92 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.25% to 6.8621, while EUR/CNY rose 0.16% to 8.0688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 93.81.
