Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 3.15% or 0.134 points to trade at 4.392 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.68% or 0.72 points to end at 43.52 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.61% or 0.180 points to 11.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which lost 5.72% or 2.58 points to trade at 42.53 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.74% or 0.21 points to end at 7.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.56% or 0.175 points to 6.650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 59 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 2.36% or 1.30 to $56.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.18% or 1.15 to hit $53.90 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.55 to trade at $1186.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.0677, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8485.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 100.58.
