Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Industry, Miscellaneous Industry and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk (JK:OKAS), which rose 34.48% or 60 points to trade at 234 at the close. Arthavest Tbk (JK:ARTA) added 25.00% or 84 points to end at 420 and Megapower Makmur TBK PT (JK:MPOW) was up 24.67% or 74 points to 374 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (JK:TPIA), which lost 6.80% or 1550 points to trade at 21250 in late trade. Samindo Resources Tbk (JK:MYOH) declined 5.56% or 40 points to end at 680 and Benakat Integra Tbk (JK:BIPI) shed 5.36% or 6 points to 106.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 142 and 120 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.09% or 0.04 to $46.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.58% or 0.30 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.81 to trade at $1326.11 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.19% to 13345.8, while AUD/IDR fell 0.84% to 10519.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 91.66.
