Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 2.86% or 180 points to trade at 6465 at the close. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) added 1.98% or 8.7 points to end at 449.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 1.73% or 1160 points to 68090 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE), which lost 1.98% or 65 points to trade at 3220 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 1.94% or 181 points to end at 9160 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) shed 1.70% or 2.8 points to 161.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 164 and 34 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.48% or 0.33 to $68.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.48% or 0.36 to hit $75.07 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.40 to trade at $1329.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.51% to 3.5642, while EUR/ILS rose 0.55% to 4.3531.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 90.71.
