Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 3.90% or 272 points to trade at 7240 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 3.33% or 54 points to end at 1674 and Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) was up 1.95% or 35 points to 1828 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which lost 3.86% or 780 points to trade at 19420 in late trade. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 3.02% or 78 points to end at 2506 and Partner (TA:PTNR) shed 2.66% or 38 points to 1390.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 228 to 162 and 26 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.69% or 0.49 to $71.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.30% or 1.00 to hit $78.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1320.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.5797, while EUR/ILS rose 0.32% to 4.2834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 92.27.
