Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 5.97% or 1110 points to trade at 19710 at the close. Mazor Robotics (TA:MZOR) added 4.64% or 401 points to end at 9041 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was up 3.88% or 4000 points to 107000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 5.16% or 404 points to trade at 7420 in late trade. Liveperson (TA:LPSN) declined 3.25% or 310 points to end at 9230 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) shed 2.43% or 670 points to 26880.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 236 to 154 and 17 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.53% or 1.75 to $71.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.28% or 1.01 to hit $80.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1203.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.10% to 3.5768, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.1578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.86.
