Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which rose 2.16% or 89 points to trade at 4200 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 1.62% or 1200 points to end at 75480 and Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) was up 1.58% or 2.5 points to 160.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 1.99% or 530 points to trade at 26070 in late trade. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) declined 1.89% or 8.1 points to end at 420.0 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.85% or 28 points to 1484.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 202 to 177 and 35 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.34% or 0.88 to $64.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.38% or 0.29 to hit $75.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1303.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.5700, while EUR/ILS rose 0.58% to 4.2043.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 93.53.
