Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO), which rose 1.43% or 0.210 points to trade at 14.850 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) added 1.38% or 0.96 points to end at 70.45 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 1.23% or 0.270 points to 22.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which lost 2.08% or 1.280 points to trade at 60.240 in late trade. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 1.55% or 0.720 points to end at 45.660 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) shed 1.53% or 0.980 points to 63.270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 54 to 53 and 10 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.70 to $1291.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.88% or 0.51 to hit $58.53 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.10 to trade at $63.42 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.13% to 18.6462, while EUR/MXN rose 0.09% to 22.0895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.04.
