Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods & Services, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which rose 1.66% or 0.490 points to trade at 30.060 at the close. Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) added 1.51% or 3.83 points to end at 258.00 and Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) was up 1.19% or 0.520 points to 44.080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which lost 2.43% or 0.37 points to trade at 14.83 in late trade. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 1.71% or 0.430 points to end at 24.650 and El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) shed 1.58% or 2.65 points to 164.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 124 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.33% or 4.22 to $1295.22 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.15% or 0.55 to hit $48.38 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.31% or 0.68 to trade at $52.55 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.04% to 17.6707, while EUR/MXN rose 0.48% to 20.8708.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 93.11.
