Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Invest Companies & Other Finance and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which rose 5.63% or 8.00 points to trade at 150.00 at the close. Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) added 2.10% or 30.0 points to end at 1460.0 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 1.81% or 7 points to 393 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 3.41% or 1.60 points to trade at 45.30 in late trade. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 3.23% or 35 points to end at 1050 and Involys (CS:INV) shed 3.10% or 3.95 points to 123.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 17 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.95% or 2.03 to $49.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.69% or 1.99 to hit $51.97 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.08 to trade at $1256.18 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.9370, while USD/MAD rose 0.00% to 9.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 97.05.
