Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.61% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 5.21% or 0.41 points to trade at 8.19 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 4.73% or 1.73 points to end at 38.33 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 3.88% or 17.7 points to 473.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 4.54% or 0.25 points to trade at 5.15 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 4.22% or 9.5 points to end at 215.6 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 4.13% or 0.85 points to 19.72.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 84 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $48.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 6.94 to trade at $1236.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.3760, while USD/NOK fell 1.01% to 8.4681.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 98.16.
