Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 4.22% or 2.01 points to trade at 49.60 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) added 3.65% or 0.37 points to end at 10.50 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 2.88% or 0.36 points to 12.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which lost 4.05% or 2.59 points to trade at 61.41 in late trade. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 2.22% or 0.100 points to end at 4.400 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) shed 2.20% or 6.75 points to 300.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 270 to 213 and 190 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.58% or 0.26 to $44.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.75% or 0.35 to hit $47.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.93 to trade at $1256.53 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.51% to 4.2096, while USD/PLN fell 0.92% to 3.7612.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 97.17.
