Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.07% or 25.0 points to trade at 1230.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.31% or 120.0 points to end at 9290.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 1.22% or 140.0 points to 11640.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.17% or 0.4 points to trade at 18.0 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) declined 1.73% or 60.0 points to end at 3415.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 1.24% or 15.0 points to 1190.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.45% or 0.70 to $156.20 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.49% or 14.00 to hit $2865.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.44% or 19.00 to trade at $1337.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.44% to 2894.83, while BRL/COP rose 1.16% to 902.55.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 95.51.
