Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG), which rose 1.84% or 0.134 points to trade at 7.416 at the close. Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) added 1.38% or 0.120 points to end at 8.840 and Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) was up 1.18% or 0.225 points to 19.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which lost 1.73% or 0.215 points to trade at 12.185 in late trade. Acciona (MC:ANA) declined 1.62% or 1.220 points to end at 74.160 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) shed 1.33% or 0.260 points to 19.290.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 79 and 17 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.77% or 10.50 to $1352.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.84% or 0.55 to hit $66.06 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $70.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.2424, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8761.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 88.84.
