Investing.com - Canadian equities started with gains on Monday, with rises in all sectors, the most notable ones being the Industrials, Materials, Health Care and Consumer Staples indices.
At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index rose 0.19%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also increased. The TSX Venture climbed 0.41%, while the Smallcap increased by 0.18%.

- Calibre Mining (TSX:CXB): Climbed 2.15% or 0.04 points to 2.13
- Tilray (TSX:TLRY): Rose 1.97% or 0.05 points to 2.59
Top Losers:
- Intl Petroleum (TSX:IPCO): Dropped 2.14% or 0.42 points to 19.24
- Celestica Inc (TSX:CLS): Declined 2.24% or 1.63 points to 71.26
- Africa Oil Corp (TSX:AOI): Fell 1.68% or 0.040 points to 2.340
In Commodities Trading:
- Crude Oil for September delivery climbed 0.04 points to 77.20 a barrel.
- October Brent Oil Contract is down by 0.09% or 0.07 drop to 80.21 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 9.05 points to 2,436.95 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD starts the week at 1.38.
- EUR/CAD left last week’s 1.50 and now at 1.4968, trying to see 1.50 again.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 104.417.
