At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index climbed 0.13%. The TSX Venture climbed slightly and the TSX Smallcap fell a little. The TSX Venture rose 0.10%, while the Smallcap was down by 0.04%.

- SSR Mining (NASDAQ:SSRM): Declined 3.64% or 0.27 points to 7.15
- BRP Inc (TSX:DOO): Dropped 1.0% or 1.79 points to 92.32
- Novagold (TSX:NG): Fell 2.23% or 0.14 points to 6.14

- Crude Oil for october delivery climbed 0.49 points to 73.66 a barrel.
- October Brent Oil Contract rose by 0.60% or 0.46 points to 77.66 a barrel.
- Gold Futures for December delivery dropped 15.20 points to 2,535.40 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
- USD/CAD is just over 1.36.
- EUR/CAD is at 1.51.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 101.325.
