Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which rose 9.55% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.720 at the close. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) added 6.59% or 12.60 points to end at 203.70 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 5.98% or 0.220 points to 3.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which lost 6.06% or 0.160 points to trade at 2.480 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 4.39% or 0.290 points to end at 6.320 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) shed 3.46% or 0.160 points to 4.470.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 185 to 166 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 3.40 to $1273.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.09% or 1.10 to hit $53.74 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.75% or 1.04 to trade at $60.34 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.54% to 3.7998, while EUR/TRY fell 1.15% to 4.4018.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 94.94.
