Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Food & Beverages and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 17.99% or 4.300 points to trade at 28.200 at the close. Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) added 6.53% or 0.65 points to end at 10.61 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 4.93% or 0.300 points to 6.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS), which lost 2.46% or 0.110 points to trade at 4.360 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 2.08% or 0.27 points to end at 12.69 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) shed 1.44% or 0.12 points to 8.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 251 to 107 and 44 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 4.54 to $1276.34 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $53.99 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $60.18 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.7781, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 4.3931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.53.
